5.5 - Preferences

The preferences window allows you to set a certain number of parameters:

Unfolding prefs:

Display mesh for each iteration:
If checked, Unfold3D will display the result of the computation after each iteration loop, so that you can see how the unfolding evolves. (default value: off)

Add a packing task after an unfolding task:
If checked, Unfold3D will automatically apply the packing algorithm on the UV pieces after an unfolding task. Unless you really want to place the pieces of the UV mapping by hand, it is recommended you leave this oprion on. (default value: on)

Add a packing task after a surface adjustment task:
If checked, Unfold3D will automatically apply the packing algorithm on the UV pieces after and adjustment task. You can disable this if you have chosen very precise packing options, for which the packing step can take quite some time. (default: on)

Misc:

Undo stack size in Mb:
Set the size of the Undo stack. Increase this only if you find you have problems going back as far as you want when you Undo operations. (default value: 256)

File extension when saving:
You can tell Unfold3D to automatically add a suffix to the filename when saving it - to prevent overwriting of the original obj file, for example. (default value: empty)

Selection preview for unique selection:
If unchecked, Unfold3D will not highlight the edge under the mouse pointer when the "Shift" key is held down. (default value: on)
