5.3 - The Main Toolbar

The main toolbar is placed on top of the window, right below the menu bar:

Load

Load an OBJ file (Files->Load OBJ...)

Save

UV coordinates are saved in the current OBJ file (Files->Save OBJ) The original 3D coordinates and 3D connectivity of the input model remain unchanged.

Undo

Undo last action (Edit->Undo)

Redo

Redo last undone action (Edit->Redo)

Cut

Cut the model along the selected edges (Unfold->Cut)

Weld

Weld the selected edges back together (Unfold->Weld) If the edge was marked as cut in the imported OBJ file, this will have no action.

Reinitialize

Clears UV coordinates and pastes 3D coordinates instead (Unfold->Reset 3D coords)

Unfold

Unfold the mesh with its current cutline and smooth parameters (Unfold->Auto Unfolding)

Stop

Stop the computation in progress

Adjusting factor...

You can set manually the tightness of surface adjusting (Adjust->Settings...) Values below 1 mean more precision but more computations too, values greater than 1 give faster adjusting but less precise results.

Tight adjusting

Sets the adjusting factor to 0.5 - precise

Normal adjusting

Sets the adjusting factor to 1 - normal

Coarse adjusting

Sets the adjusting factor to 2 - coarse

Pack

Place the charts of the UV mapping to minimize the wasted space in texture space (Pack->Pack) See the packing section for more details.

Packing options...

Change the settings of the packing operation (Pack->Settings...) See the packing section for more details.

Update off

Simple edition of the mesh, without recalculation of the whole mesh when you do a change on it(Constraints->Update off...) See the Edition section for more details.

Update on

Update of the whole mesh for each change (translation/rotation/scaling) (Constraints->Update on...) See the Edition section for more details.

Update realtime

Update of the mesh in real time for each move of points or edges (Constraints->Update realtime...) See the Edition section for more details.

Freeze

Freeze a position of the mesh (Constraints->Freeze...) See the Edition section for more details.
