This feature allows you to select a path starting at an edge and
crossing through the neighbors. This allows you to easily select a loop
around a part of your mesh (around the arm of a character, for example)
or a line going from one border to another.
Switch to
"edge selection" mode, then click
Hold down the "ALT" key and click on an edge to select a two-way path starting from the edge. While you hold down the "ALT" key, Unfold3D highlights the path you are going to select when you browse over other edges.
Once you have selected the edges you want to cut, simply press the
button in the upper bar to apply
the cut.
You can also weld back edges you had previously cut by selecting
them and pressing the
button.
NOTE: Unfold3D will not modify the mesh information from the loaded OBJ file. If the mesh was cut out before beeing loaded, Unfold3D won't weld back two edges together when they are marked as split in the OBJ file - even if their coordinates match.
During the cutting part, if your mesh is cut in several pieces, and
you want to separate them to have a better view, you can click the
button. The right hand display
will show the submeshes spread apart.
